So I don't know if this is different because he mostly posts "anonymously" on 4chan, but since we have a thread on Slugfucker maybe we can make this work. He does announce when he posts.

First, maybe I should let Barneyfag explain himself in his own words. This was written to the resource department of the school he was in the sped program with as a child:

However, Barneyfag never sent this letter. What does he do instead? Well, he shitposts on 4chan. What's very impressive about him is that the two cartoons he goes after, MLP and Steven Universe, are only tangentially related to the show that supposedly haunts him so much. Whenever a thread outside of those containment areas has so much as a post mentioning either of those shows, he fucking explodes with his massive dump of images linking Barney and the two shows. He does this supposedly because of the "abuse" that he got while watching Barney in sped classes.

He actually has an RSS feed and keeps it updated when someone posts an MLP/SU picture on /v/. On /v/ in particular, his "savior" complex really comes out despite most of the people there just laughing at how he shitposts his images for 100+ posts. He has no clue that people actually are more pissed off by his derailing of threads than an MLP/SU image. He notoriously ban evades, as well.

Anyway, today he actually answered some questions and that's why I decided to make the thread, since he gave some more info about himself. I'll present them without context except for the important one.

Barneyfag loves Splatoon and apparently is very involved in the DOOM community, and was teasing people to try to find who he is. He also said that he's a contrarian.

A Canadian DOOM speedrunner that explodes when Barney, MLP, or Steven Universe is mentioned and is supposedly in a community full of people like himself.

Just for reference:

• Barneyfag actively watches MLP and Barney to keep up with people posting on boards
• Barneyfag admitted that he has a favorite character in what he calls "Barneyshit cartoons," and also loves the show "Littlest Pet Shop," by the same people who make MLP.
• Barneyfag has an RSS feed to mini mod whenever someone posts an MLP/SU image on any board
• Barneyfag is a fan of Splatoon, and is a Canadian DOOM speedrunner that sees himself as above most people, and that they're the ones needing to be saved despite admitting that he probably needs therapy and writing the above letter but not sending it.

Anyone else think there's potential? He claims he does other stuff than this but he posted his folder of "proof" images and there were nearly 1000 unique images. Also, when pointed out any of the above he will trollshield and insist that other people or even society as a whole is the actual problem.

I think he knows all the prominent "Barneyfags" as he calls them. He hates being called Barneyfag since he sees himself as the exact opposite and the savior of society from their menace. He genuinely believes that.

 

Yes, Barney is a bad show, and there are childrens shows that are miles better, but there's no reason to get all up-in-arms about it. On a slightly off-topic note, the guy who played Barney was arrested in 2005 for child molestation, and the son of the woman who made Barney was arrested for attempted murder. That seems like a much better argument for getting Barney off the air then the one Barneyfag presents.

 

He posted recently and calmed down when people asked him things. That's how we know he's not only a sperg, but a pretentious and delusional sperg who thinks he's better than everyone and blames society for all of his problems.

 

Didn't he start out as "x86x2" or something like that? I also remember him posting on 8chan cow or possibly an earlier incarnation about Barneyfags.

 

I believe that might be him, not sure. He had a lot of imitators, but the main guy known as "Barneyfag" only has hinted that he's a DOOM speedrunner who is active in that community. I have no idea where DOOM spergs congregate, but he's probably there. That x86x2 guy claims to have started it all, but I'm not sure if he was ever confirmed to be the Barneyfag.

 

I know that before x86x2 was deleted from TV Tropes, he had a section of "things Barney has ruined for [him]" on his troper page. It's consistent with the letter he intended for the resource department.

Oh man, as much as I don't like Barney, I think this guy's hatred's kinda out of hand. I think the fact that he made a letter for his sped class seals it for me.

I mean sure, he never published it, but the same principle applies. I can only imagine shit getting worse if he did give the letter to the teachers.

Maybe he's a closeted pedo or something. Obsessively watches little kid's shows like MLP and Barney while "hating" on them, and Splatoon is serious pedobait. Not sure if he is, but just a theory I'm throwing out there.

 

That spergifesto is almost kind of poetic, and then I remember what it's about and I lose interest.

 

So we know he spergs about Barney, but what's up with his prog rock obsession? The constant references to Pink Floyd and Rush in his manifesto stuck out to me.

 

At a glance, he strikes me as one of those asswipes who believes prog rock is the be-all and end-all of music.

Not only would those be better arguments, there can be other reasons to get Barney off the air. Still, the argument Barneyfag presents would no doubt make one wonder what his point is in the whole "Barney and Teletubbies shouldn't be watched" text. One can only ask "who gives a shit" over his hatred of some mediocre to bad kids show.

Those that think it's still relevant despite there being other chans like 8chan.
