Sonichu Reviews

So, I've been doing some reviews of Sonichu, TGWTG-style, for a few years now. I generally don't like to shill myself, but they've been pretty well received, and I'd like to share them.

Here's the first one, for your entertainment:


I'm currently halfway through Issue 4, and the videos will resume soon after a nearly year-long hiatus.

I was just wondering what you've been doing, so I'm glad I found this. I'm glad to hear you'll be making videos again.

 

A very turbulent year in college followed by a mentally exhausting work term. I would not have been in a good emotional state to be producing comedy.

I did have some side projects going on at the time, just not public ones. I started doing a couple Let's Plays, but they petered out (but will continue eventually) and I started writing for AlternateHistory.com. Specifically, an alternate history where the 1979 taking of the American embassy in Tehran goes horribly wrong, resulting in the deaths of all the diplomats. It is not a happy story.

 

Oh hey! I saw your Bad Reviews on YouTube well before I came here, and I just want to say I've really enjoyed them! I can totally understand having college issues, since I've been going through the same thing myself. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing whatever more BR you produce!

 

I looked at the first and after that I just had to see the others as well. Great reviews.

 

I liked it, but it wasn't so much a "review" as it was you reading it and making an attempt at humor.

Hey, just dropping in to say that the new episodes are taking longer than expected due to DAH STRESS.

I also think I'll be expanding into some new non-Sonichu material as well, since the Sonichu reviews are quite a bit more effort than they look.

 

I'm really enjoying your commentary (and wouldn't think to compare it to TGWTG; you aren't a screechy asshole ), keep up the good work!

Hate to say "i told you so", so i didn't, i'll go on with a question. Are there any other (except Vivian's) good reviews out there? A shame Dstecks crashed into a slumber yet again though, i regulary rewatches that stuff.
